weird that anyone would write a bad review. i order from here a lot and every single time it's so good. i just got a burger and it was perfectly packaged, not messy at all, and the tater tots were crispy. yum!

Absolutely terrible service. Will never order here again. They messed up our delivery (not the first time) and rather than make an effort to correct the situation, the "manager" picked a fight. New York deserves much better. This place needs to go out of business. Do Not Order From This Dump.

Some of the worst delivery people I have ever experienced. They went to the wrong building and took three times the estimated time to get to our building...which is not hard to find. They had to call multiple times to understand where to go when they had the address correctly sent to them on seamless.

Terrible. Waited over an hour for delivery and when the food arrived it was not only the wrong order but the food was cold, the hamburger was overcooked and the bun was stale. Save your time and money!

Food is decent. Delivery is just horrible. I ordered my breakfast at 10:15am. At 11:05am, they called me to tell me they had run out of something. It took them 50 minutes and they hadn't even processed my order...argh! And the worst part is, I live right on their corner. This was the first time I ordered from Big Daddy's. I won't be ordering from them again. Gracie's Corner Diner delivers to me consistently in 15 minutes. VERY DISAPPOINTED. OVERPRICED DINER FOOD.

The food was only so-so. The main problem was that half of our order was completely wrong (a vegetarian sandwich instead of a Reuben with cheese fries), and the restaurant said the only thing they could do for us was to take it off our card. Thanks a lot.

I always order from Big Daddy's--despite the fact that they repeatedly forget the cheese with my cheese fries or send me a burger when I ordered a turkey wrap, and then when I call about it they argue with me and refuse to bring the correct items to me. Last night I ordered and fell asleep before receiving the food. I understand that is a fault of my own, but when I called to ask if there was anything they could do, because it was 85$, they said no because they made the food and need to remake it. When I said, let's be real, the food you made and charged me 85$ for didn't cost you 85$, the manager interrupted and said their food costs them 30%, so she would charge me an additional 30% to redeliver it, as if she was doing me a favor and I ultimately would end up paying 110$ for one order. Thanks for letting me know that I have been paying 70% more than the actual cost of your terrible food. The only reason I ever ordered from Big Daddy's is for cheese fries, but I am an idiot for doing so because they a) always forget the cheese anyways (2$ by the way) and b) they make a 70% profit off of delivering wrong orders.

I was totally unimpressed with their reuben and tater tots. The tots were chewy and although the pastrami was nice and lean, there was not nearly enough of it. The bread was FAR too thick for the amount of meat in the sandwich. I won't be ordering this sandwich from them again.

Very often good. The What about bob is a great breakfast sandwich. Expensive for a diner though. More a 4 but giving it a 5 to offset the surprisingly low rating.

Ordered chicken noodle soup. There was no noodle and 2 tiny pieces of chicken. Soup was all broth and onions. Tasted so salty I spit it out, and this was after 2 days of not eating b/c I was sick. Even when I was starving I couldn't take the nasty soup they sent me. When I called to let them know the soup was bad(Never even asked fro a refund, and made that clear), they were rude on the phone, never apologized, or offered any type of compensation. Needless to say, the worst soup I have ever had, rude "service", I will never again order from this place, and the other food is decent at best(had ordered from here a few times prior to my soup disaster. Look at all the 1 stars they get...I think all the 5 stars are plugs by the Diner itself Ritz Diner is MUCH BETTER

Always happy with Big Daddy's. Mozz sticks are really, really good just like the menu says! You can't go wrong with an Egg Mcdaddy for bfast or a turkey burger or mac and cheese! The chicken fingers are on a stick, which is a nice treat.. and don't get me started on the desserts! EVERYTHING sweet or frozen is awesome! Love this place

Food is always good here, if not a little pricey. They have a habit of removing popular menu items, so try not to get too attached. Their home fries are ridiculously good.

This place is great for a quick lunch in the middle of my day. If you're looking for diner extrodiaire, this is it. Burgers, shakes, fries, and even tater tots! I especially love the Ma's Mac and Cheese. It's perfect. I also like the Boylan Soda (but why don't they have regular root beer?) Delivery is faster than estimated, at least during the week.

I love the very very veggie burger, but FYI they don't know the definition of condiments so if you want something on the side (like ketchup or special sauce) spell it out and don't just pick the "condiments on the side" option.

We ordered a regular burger and a turkey burger. The turkey meat was disgusting and the regular burger was overcooked, dry, and flavorless. Plus they forgot the coleslaw. The only redeeming factor of this meal were the fries - they stayed crispy and were pretty good.

The order was incomplete: the burger was missing lettuce, tomato as mentioned on the menu. Condiments were requested which was not sent. When called to report the incident the person accepting orders was very rude and not helpful. He did not even try to make up for the mess up. Will never order from this place again.

The food was simply disappointing. I had ordered a burger and it arrived cold and felt more like I was holding a brick than a burger. I was still compelled to eat it, since I had paid for it and was very hungry. The burger had very good flavors and was cooked well, but the fact that it was cold made it a disappointment. clueless service ... although they seemed to care a lil bit, food still was not there after 1h 30 mins ... and I'm living only 2 short blocks away.. I had to give them my adress phone number etc again, prob because they made it as I was speaking to them.. the probably know about the bad reviews they recently got... still no excuse for lying to me the first time and putting me on hold the second time.. it took me 3 calls until I got a guy who actually cared to get food out of the kitchen...

DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE. Seriously, don't. Delivery took 2 hours plus for some cold food to arrive. When I called to complain and try to cancel, I was put on hold and no one returned to my call. It is always overpriced and underwhelming.

Be very careful in ordering from here before their deadline. I ordered from them two minutes before they stopped taking orders. 40 minutes later I called and was told it would be a half hour until they could deliver. I was told to cancel my order. The person on the other end of the phone was rude and hung up on me. I was annoyed but polite. No apology for the delay, no regret. Still don't know whether I will be credit or not for food that was never delivered. Just very unpleasant to deal with and unreliable. I hope you have better luck if you order from them but I would be very wary.

Terrible experience - took over an hour for delivery of a milkshake and a piece of mud pie. Had to call them to confirm order status and the guy on the phone lied about the estimate. The order came in disarray and no straw for the milkshake. Really? The delivery guy did not have the right apartment number (not sure why) and he was very annoyed when I opened the door. Mud pie did not taste like a true mud pie and the ice cream it came with was TOTALLY melted. The top on the milkshake was not properly secured so when I went for a drink, it fell off and at least 72% of the milkshake spilt on the table. The milkshake was so bad that even my cat would not lick it off.

I receive 2 times, 2 mistake. I ask no onion and no pickles the first time come with onion and pickles inside my burger and the second time come with no onion but picles inside my burger. The Cook to be carefully with the order.

Waited over an hour for my food to be delivered. Food was over-salted and even that couldn't save the flavor. Salad was soggy and I chose dressing on the side which makes me wonder how long it was sitting out for. The only saving grace was the tomato cheddar soup. For that it gets one star.

The herb flavoring of the fried chicken completely overpowered the food. It was so strong that it was inedible. Oddly the "herb" mashed potatoes were good and not over flavored.

I live 4 blocks away so I thought the delivery time would be okay. Estimated 30-45 turned into an hour. The food was cold and had clearly been sitting for a long time as there was condensation on the inside of the containers. We asked for extra ketchup and received 5 packets for a two burger order. Is that really 'extra' please. The Veggie burger was actually very good as was the Cookie Monster shake - which is the only reason i'm giving it 2 stars. Terrible service, cold food. Will not be ordering from them again.

The delivery slow, and the food was NOT worth the wait. Burgers are simple, but these were way over-cooked and lacked any flavor. The fries were STALE. This place is all about image and luring in tourists with sparkly colors.

I have ordered from BIg Daddys a few times and the food is generally below par. Food is pitched to customers based on Gimmicks as is evident in the names such as "Soupy Sales of the Day" i.e. soup of the day, typically chicken soup that has very little white meat and has only a few vegetables. Big Daddy's should focus more on their food than creating a quasi 50s diner style restaurant. Try any other neighborhood diner for better food and better prices.

Decent food, great to completely forget about your diet!. We ordered from them a few times. But they caused me problems with my building's security for sending a delivery person without an ID after I had specifically asked them to in the "Delivery Instructions" section. I called to complain and have them send someone else wit the order next time and now they refuse to deliver food to my address. Ridiculous. So make sure you never complain about anything if you wanna have food at your door.

Place is terrible. Food is ALWAYS cold upon arrival. Want to ask for a particular sauce for your chicken fingers? Forget about it. 2 occasions they completely ignore this. Lastly the food is overpriced. Have an even worse experience if you dine there.

The hot roast beef sub was AMAZINGGG & the tater tots were nice & crispy. The mlk shakes are sooooo good too! I substitute the milkshakes w/ the Yogy Bear Smoothies, when I'm trying to eat healthy, they are soooo delicious, thick and flavorful! I highly recommend those items!!!

Food is always great and delivered quickly. The staff is nice and friendly, even over the phone. While their prices tend to be a bit higher than the competition, everything is high quality and totally worth it. Portions tend to be on the bigger side, so be careful not to over order!

I was hesitant to order from this place because I know and love several places that serve the same things for 30-50% less, but I decided to try it. I ordered the veggie burger, which was good, better than several other places I've tried, worth the price-it's huge. I couldn't come close to finishing it, probably because I tried some of my boyfriend's order first-cookie dough pancakes and the fried cookie dough. OMG! Just order it. It'll take hours in the gym to burn it off but I never realized how incomplete my life was until I bit through the warm cinnamon and sugar coated crispy outside into the gooey chocolate chip cookie dough center and if that's not enough for you it comes with a generous side of vanilla ice cream, tons of hot fudge, whipped cream and colorful sprinkles! I don't even like whipped cream or sprinkles and they were good. The food is good, the portions are really big, so keep that in mind when ordering and the delivery was pretty quick. I'll order from them again.

The food was good. The service was pretty lousy: I placed an order because the estimated delivery time was 30-45 minutes. When I called 50 minutes later to see where my food was, I was told, "it'll be there soon." When I called 10 minutes later for an update, I was placed on hold for over 5 minutes before hanging up. When I called back a 3rd time to express my frustration I was finally told that the food was still being prepared (I ordered eggs, so apparently they went to upstate New York to get fresh eggs) and that would be there within 10 minutes (this is now 1 hour and 15 minutes after I placed the order). Mind you, I live 6 blocks away. As you may suspect, I do not recommend ordering from here.

food items/ tastiness can be a bit variable. when they are great they are great. when they are mediocre what can you say? so far, never bad. overall mostly a good bet. some of the blue plates are SO comforting and worth trying. zucchini tempura quite fresh, beef stroganoff hits the spot everytime. tip of the hat to management as well, who made up for an error with an extra soup the next order. THAT is good business and will keep me coming back. dr. p

overall, food is good but expensive and some menu items are just ok. i do have to praise them for their corned beef hash. it's NOT out of the can and is delicious, which is why i gave them 3 stars. however, if you are very hungry, order somewhere else. i've ordered at least 4 times and each time delivery has been well past 45 minutes.

I had a really great breakfast from there before. The corned beef hash was excellent; they use real corned beef chunks. So I ordered the bad boy burger & strawberry shortcake cheesecake for dinner(which they called to tell me they didn't have). I ordered the cherry pie instead which tasted old. They also forgot the bacon on my burger which was very disappointing!! That was half the reason for ordering it. I got the tater tots instead of fries & they were good & hot. Unfortunately I probably won't order delivery from them again; there's just too many other choices out there.

Horrible customer service. I ordered delivery and it never showed up. When I called Big Daddy's to let them know that I never got my order, they assured me it had been delivered to me and I had signed for it. They never once offered to replace my order, just continued to say it had been delivered. Thank goodness for SeamlessWeb who credited my order. I will never order or go to Big Daddy's again.

HORRIBLE! My food took 65 minutes to come (I was told 30-45), The staff at the restaurant was very unhelpful when I called and lied about it being about to be at my home, Food was COLD, and Why should I pay $15 dollars for a burger!? Stay away. This place is the worst.

problem with accurate description of menu: i ordered the big daddy sundae. first of all, the diner doesn't carry marshmallow fluff (at all) and so they just put little marshmallows on to substitute that. of course, the two are not the same, so why do they advertise the fluff at all? second, they are no longer carrying/using HD ice cream -- they're using another brand that is hard to figure out by taste. i suspected it as soon as the tell-tale vanilla HD flavor went missing from my sundae and was replaced with a much less exciting vanilla. also, i asked for choco-choco chip ice cream (a HD classic) and they say they no longer get it. my problem is this: they charge way too much for the food to not have quality ingredients. and also, can they no longer afford to buy marshmallow fluff and HD ice cream? a $10 sundae should at least have that!

disgusting, i just got cold tator tots, disgusting pancakes and get this... unbuttered toast COVERED IN MOLD. do not order from big daddys, if they cant even check to see that theres mold all over their bread before they send it out to someone they deserve nobody's business.
